Eight years in digital marketing taught me to work fast, make data-driven decisions, and feel productive whenever my calendar was full. It was a career that taught me a great deal, but somewhere along the way, I started wondering whether constant motion was the same thing as actually living.

Yoga entered my life at first as a way to «empty out» after difficult days. I didn't expect it to become anything more. But every time I came to the mat, I felt a stillness I couldn't find anywhere else — a sense that I was finally here, in my body, in my breath, not in the next deadline.

The decision to complete my 200hr Yoga Teacher Training didn't come suddenly. It came slowly, through months of doubt and questions: what would happen if I gave yoga the same energy I gave my career? What if I stopped practicing yoga just to «survive» my life, and started building a life around it instead?

I never experienced it as leaving my previous career behind. It felt more like arriving somewhere I had been heading all along, without realising it. The skills I learned in marketing — discipline, attention to detail, the ability to build something from nothing, weren't wasted. They came with me; I simply use them now for something that feels truly mine.

Today, when I teach, I'm not trying to «escape» my life outside the studio. I'm trying to bring the same presence I find on the mat into everything else. If you read something here and recognised a piece of yourself, maybe it's time to explore it too.
